I had a baby and disappeared for a year

Hi and happy Feel-Good Monday!

This is where we share our favorite tips, tricks, secrets, and ways to "think like a healthy person" so that you can find your own delicious path to healthy living.

"Feel-Good Mondays" are meant to help us get back into that place of feeling energized, nourished, and ready to take inspired action for the week ahead.

Well hey there! Nice to see you again. I’ve missed you.

I was off having a baby and all that jazz. And now that baby is almost 1 year old (!!) and I realized just how much I’ve missed you. And so I’m back, baby!

In all seriousness, it feels so good to get back to these Feel Good Monday emails. I spent the past year doing a lot of internal work with Moss Wellness: re-doing our website (new site to launch soon!!), adding to our incredible team of Moss Wellness coaches, and working to support our clients by going deeper than ever before (we added a functional medicine expert to our team and we now offer amazing integrative testing).

Between the internal Moss Wellness work and the very personal work I’ve been doing this year (you know, raising a new human being and all), I made an intentional decision to take a break from the videos, Feel Good Monday emails, and press appearances. I speak a big game to our clients when it comes to avoiding burn-out and ramping up the self-care, and this year I was really put to that challenge myself.

I had a home birth with Rye back in June of 2016 (an amazing experience I can’t rave about enough – don’t get me started on what an incredible gift midwives and doulas are to this world!). I’ve had to learn all sorts of new nutritional skills I never thought all that much about. Is it OK that my baby wants to eat as much steak as a grown man? How many pieces of zucchini should I allow him to put into his mouth at once? And I’ve learned so much about the kind of care I personally need to thrive (I’m talking both emotional and physical). To say that the past year has been a learning experience of all kinds puts it lightly.

Ironically, I am re-emerging with so much more to give you. I feel a new sense of presence and purpose and delight permeating everything we’re doing here at Moss Wellness, and I am excited to share that with you in the months to come.

Stay tuned for fun stuff this year. Stay tuned for mother and baby support and advice. Stay tuned for more baby photos.

I am so happy to see you again.

With love,

P.S. Come on over and say hi (and check out lots of fun health/wellness/nutrition tips) over on our Facebook page!
