What does it mean tofeel good every day?

Hi and happy Feel-Good Monday!

This is where we share our favorite tips, tricks, secrets, and ways to "think like a healthy person" so that you can find your own delicious path to healthy living.

"Feel-Good Mondays" are meant to help us get back into that place of feeling energized, nourished, and ready to take inspired action for the week ahead.

Firstly, thank you all so much for the loving messages in regards to last week’s newsletter (the revelation of my baby bump!). I was so moved and felt so “hugged” by all of you! (And I am going to guess that the little dude in my tummy did, too…)

This week, I want to focus on a topic that we talk A LOT about at Moss Wellness:

Feeling Good. Every Day.

What does “feeling good” mean, exactly? Here’s my personal definition:

  • Physically feeling good: You have clear skin, high energy, you’re well-rested, you’re at a healthy weight, and you feel vibrant, strong, and balanced.

  • Emotionally feeling good: You experience clarity and clear thinking (no more brain fog!), you have a balanced mood, you feel engaged and present in your life, you are enthused, capable, and feel confident in your body.

I admit that I am obsessed with wanting you to feel good. Because I know – from my personal work on myself, and from our work with hundreds of clients over the years – that it’s truly possible. Even when the idea of “feeling good” might feel so far away from where you are now.

I know this from firsthand experience. I didn’t grow up craving kale, enjoying exercise, and understanding how to listen to my body. Not even close.

I used to be almost 50 pounds heavier, obsessed with food, stagnant in my career and relationships, and pretty moody. (Just ask family and friends back then…). By the time I reached my twenties, I was sick of looking in the mirror and seeing the extra weight, fitting into too-snug jeans, and having a daily body-image war with myself. I was tired of using food to numb myself out, or to fill the void when I was lonely or longing for connection, or as a way of repressing the “real stuff” that I was feeling on any given day.

We have been conditioned to think that if we just discover the next best diet, supplement, or health book, all of our health/weight/emotional problems will be solved! But this way of thinking overlooks the deepest issue of all: You are UNIQUE. You are a beautiful, incredibly complex human being with unique needs, desires, and innate responses. What I discovered on my wellness journey is that many of the usual approaches to weight loss, health, and healing are outdated.

Through my personal journey, I discovered that the biggest secret of all is that there is no one-size-fits-all diet for everyone. Your health, happiness, and well-being rely on discovering what works best and feels best for your individual body and your own bio-individuality.

What can keep us from “feeling good”? Here are the typical culprits:

  • Digestive issues like IBS, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, bloating, heartburn and reflux.

  • Hidden food sensitivities that can cause inflammation, physical discomfort, and weight gain.

  • Imbalanced hormones that can lead to painful menstrual cycles, infertility, or struggling through menopause.

  • Low energy levels, chronic fatigue, difficulty sleeping, and energy crashes.

We have witnessed transformations over the years that are too many to count at this point. Clients who struggled with hormonal imbalance finally feel “normal” and healthy again. We’ve supported clients with chronic digestive issues who suddenly healed and stopped struggling with those conditions. Other clients have lost lots of weight, skyrocketed their energy levels, finally felt well-rested, broke free of emotional eating and uncontrollable cravings, and began to love their bodies again after years of feeling at war with it.

So no matter where you are now, I want you to know that you CAN start to feel better. Day by day. And if you already feel “pretty good,” you can start feeling pretty excellent!

Food is medicine. By addressing what you eat, your lifestyle choices, and your stress levels, you can heal. You can discover food ease, food freedom, and confidence in your daily food choices.

Let’s get you to feel good every day. Starting now! Reach out to us if you want to feel better. Today.

With love,
