I don’t know about you, but I’ve feel like I’m washing vegetables non-stop this summer. My local CSA has been delivering the most delicious lettuces in abundance, with the tastiest varieties I had never heard of or seen before: Red Deer Tongue, Speckled Trout, Forellenschluss, Cracoviensis. I’ve been making salads like a maniac!
I recently came across this blog post onstartcooking.com about “how to wash lettuce,” and wanted to share it with y’all. It seems simple enough, but there are washing techniques that will not only make your lettuce look prettier (and possibly taste better), but will keep them fresher longer.
Enjoy, and keep eating those salads!
