Maple Cinnamon Spiced Pecans
Serving size: ¼ cup nuts (around 12-15 pecans)
Ingredients:
- 4 cups pecans (preferably organic)
- 4 tablespoons real maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg (you can use pre-ground nutmeg too, but freshly ground is just so flavorful!)
- ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon sea salt (I love Redmond Real Sea Salt, and I use 1 whole teaspoon because I enjoy my snacks on the saltier side)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until nuts are well-coated and maple/spices are equally distributed. (I use my hands for this. It’s messy, but gets the job done quickly and easily.)
- Line a large baking tray or two with parchment paper.
- Spread out coated pecans on the tray in one layer, avoiding having the nuts overlap too much.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool, and savor your new favorite afternoon snack!
