Maple Cinnamon Spiced Pecans

Maple Cinnamon Spiced Pecans

Serving size: ¼ cup nuts (around 12-15 pecans)

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups pecans (preferably organic)
  • 4 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg (you can use pre-ground nutmeg too, but freshly ground is just so flavorful!)
  • ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon sea salt (I love Redmond Real Sea Salt, and I use 1 whole teaspoon because I enjoy my snacks on the saltier side)
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until nuts are well-coated and maple/spices are equally distributed. (I use my hands for this. It’s messy, but gets the job done quickly and easily.)
  3. Line a large baking tray or two with parchment paper.
  4. Spread out coated pecans on the tray in one layer, avoiding having the nuts overlap too much.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool, and savor your new favorite afternoon snack!
