Spring cleaning – for your brain!

Hi and happy Feel-Good Monday!

This is where we share our favorite tips, tricks, secrets, and ways to "think like a healthy person" so that you can find your own delicious path to healthy living.

"Feel-Good Mondays" are meant to help us get back into that place of feeling energized, nourished, and ready to take inspired action for the week ahead.

If you’ve been following along this month, you know I’ve been spending the past three weeks cleansing. (Only 9 more days to go to my goal of 30 days of cleansing! Woot woot!)

My motivation behind this month of cleansing was simple: After being a “new” mom for almost two years, I finally felt ready (and oh-so-motivated!) to put more care, love, and support back into my own body and well-being.

As I focused on adding in more veggies, healthy fats, and nourishing proteins this month (and eliminated sugars, grains, dairy, and alcohol), my energy levels felt more stable than they had in months. My cravings totally dissipated (I swear!!). My pants began to fit more loosely.

And there was another wonderful bonus that has come out of this month of deep self-care: Emotionally and mentally, I have felt clearer, more balanced, more grounded, and – happier!!

I have also felt more motivated than I have felt in oh-so-long to “cleanse” other areas of my life (I finally unsubscribed to a bunch of junk emails, I cleaned our pantry out, I sorted through and organized boxes of Rye’s toys, and we got rid of a bunch of cable services we weren’t really using anymore).

YEP. That’s the amazing power of food. Not only does food help us to heal from various health issues, but it also totally affects the way we think. The food/mood connection is a strong one. When we are consuming foods that may be inflammatory to our system (sugars, refined grains, dairy products), it’s not only our physical body that can suffer. Our mind can feel dulled. Our thinking can become foggy and cloudy. Our mood can become…moody.

If you haven’t been feeling as clear-headed as you’d like to, I encourage you to take a look around and see where you might be able to do some “spring cleaning” in your diet.

And when you feel ready to bring in the support and expertise to review your diet and lifestyle (and find out where you can make some shifts to feel like your best self), reach out to us.

We’d love to support you to bring in the right “spring cleaning” to skyrocket those energy levels, get glowing skin, kick those cravings, and bounce into spring feeling sharp and bright.

With love,
